Assembly Technician
Position description:
Small parts assembler for wire and cable harness assembly. Candidate must have high school diploma or GED. One to three years related experience or training. While performing the functions of this job, the candidate is regularly required to walk, talk, and hear. The candidate is regularly required to stand walk and reach/grasp with hands and arms. The candidate is regularly required to sit. The candidate regularly lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds. The candidate is regularly required to sit or kneel. Candidate must be able to read and utilize a ruler. Candidate will conduct required processes to assemble product according to customer specifications. Candidate will read work instruction and verify that wire is prepped/terminated and cut according to specification. Crimp, plug connectors, and apply covering per customer specification. Utilize hand tools and automatic tools, and follow ISO and other internal procedures as required.

Responsible for building fiber optic wire harness and cable assembly product according to customer specification. High School Diploma or GED plus 3-5 years experience in fiber optics desired. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, and talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk and reach/grasp with hands and arms. The employee is rarely required to travel. The employee is regularly required to sit. The employee regularly lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds. The employee is regularly required to stoop or kneel.
